For over half a century The Leader has been near-northwest Houston's award-winning community newspaper. Generations of residents in the Heights, Garden Oaks, Oak Forest and dozens more affluent neighborhoods have looked forward to their Leader each week. In fact many of our former carriers have grown up to own businesses that advertise with us.

At the Leader, we're proudly nearsighted. Our news, features and advertising are always locally focused. Most of our staff lives here in Northwest Houston - it's our "hometown"- and our goal is to produce the best community newspaper possible for our neighbors. Our publications have been consistently recognized regionally and nationally for excellence in journalism, advertising and community service.

A recent independent survey by the non-profit Circulation Verification Council found that nine out of ten homes in our area receive The Leader each week and that three out of four recipients "frequently purchase products or services" locally from Leader ads. That kind of market penetration and readership makes us the leading advertising choice in the area - just ask our advertisers, many of whom have been running in the paper for years or even decades.
