Some things will change at Adolf Hoepfl Garage beginning this week, but much will also remain the same.
Since 1946, Adolf Hoepfl Garage has maintained and repaired vehicles at the shop at 4610 N. Shepherd, but some changes are afoot. The garage will soon be replacing the current 5,000 square-foot service bays into an 8,000 square-foot service building. However, the original historic two-story building on the site will remain in place.
The new building will have more ventilation, a higher floor to help with flood prevention, and have new equipment better designed to service modern cars. The goal is to streamline Adolf Hoepfl Garage’s services to the community.
“We’re excited about the improvements the new building will provide,” said owner Kathryn van der Pol, who along with her husband Sybren purchased Adolf Hoepfl Garage in 2004. “The new building will make us more efficient and support our commitment to providing exceptional service.”
Adolf Hoepfl Garage will remain open for business during renovations, continuing to service vehicles in other areas of the property. And as always, their philosophy of “Take care of the customers, give back to the community, and the business will take care of itself” will be on full display.
“We invite you to come by to get your car serviced and see the progress on our new building,” van der Pol said. “We have a cup of coffee waiting for you.”
