For Angie Gashette’s family that’s not the case, as her family proclaims her cooking to be the best in the neighborhood. Gashette and her husband raised their two sons in Oak Forest on home-cooked meals almost every night. Now that her sons are grown with families of their own, she still loves to gather the family and cook for the whole group. With the idea that quality breakfast can be served in a convenient and quick way, the eatery is set to open on Friday, September 21 at 2042 E. T.C. Jester. Brought to the community by the co-founder of its neighboring restaurant, King’s BierHaus, EggHaus Gourmet is Philipp Sitter’s newest concept. “The response has been overwhelming. New open dates for Superica and La Lucha Previously it was reported that September 10 marked the open date for side by side Heights spots Superica and La Lucha, 1801 N. Shepherd Drive, but has since been pushed back to September 17. The Tex-Mex concept Superica will serve up queso, tamales, and tacos, while La Lucha next door serves as a homage to owner Ford Fry’s favorite childhood diner, San Jacinto Inn. La Lucha will dish out Gulf oysters, fried chicken, and burgers. Superica hours will be 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays and will stay open an extra hour on weekends. La Lucha will be open 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. from Monday through Thursday, and from noon until 11 p.m. on weekends.
