Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts
A Scouting for Food drive will be Jan. 27 and Feb. 3. The Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts will be coming through the neighborhoods of the Heights hanging tags on doors (on Jan. 27) to remind everyone to set out a bag of non-perishable pantry goods that will picked up the following weekend (Feb. 3) and delivered to area food pantries and the Houston Food Bank. Dr. Bryant Boutwell returns to the Houston Assembly of Delphians’ Speaker Series with a sneak peek at his new biography on the life of Dr. Red Duke, scheduled for release this summer. Boutwell has recently retired as Distinguished Teaching Professor from the McGovern Medical School, where he served the institutions of Houston’s Texas Medical Center for four decades.
