OFHA MOVIES IN THE PARK

The Friends of Woodland Park
The Friends of Woodland Park will be hosting their fifth annual Happy Trails and Hot Dogs event from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. June 3. The park is located at 212 Parkview. Activities will include guided nature tours and the popular pop-up playground by Bayou City Play. Dedication of the recently installed B-cycle station will be held at 1 p.m. The White Oak Bayou Association fish-off competition which will open for registration at 8 a.m. The Houston Avenue replica trolley in the park will be yarn-bombed to celebrate National Yarn Bomb day. White Oak Bayou Association
The fishing competition will be held in partnership with the Friends of Woodland Park Happy Trails and Hot Dogs Day. The event will be held June 3 at Woodland Park. Registration begins at 8 a.m., weighing and judging begins at 12:30 p.m. Trophies will be awarded to Little Anglers (12 and under) and Big Anglers (over 13) for the Biggest, Ugliest and Most Unusual fish. Entry fees are $3 for adults, $5 per family/group or free with $10 with a White Oak Bayou Association annual membership. Waltrip High School will hold a Summer Bridge Camp for all incoming 9th graders 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. June 5-June 8. The program will provide incoming freshmen an opportunity to jumpstart their first year of high school by participating in fun learning activities on and off Waltrip campus.
