HIKE AND BIKE TRAIL CLEANUP
Students from Hogg and Hamilton Middle schools are raising funds to go to camp this summer and will be giving back to the community by participating in cleaning up debris along the Heights Hike and Bike Trail near Juiceland at 3206 White Oak, from 8 a.m.-noon. JAY KARAHAN TO SPEAK
Heritage Republican Women
Judge Jay Karahan, Harris County Criminal Court at Law No. 8, will be the guest speaker for May. He will discuss the criminal justice system and the many upcoming changes following the legislative session. The meeting will be held at Candlelight Church of Christ, 4215 Watonga, at 7 p.m. May 4. OFHA TOUR DE OAK FOREST

The featured wine for this month is Pinot Envy. WORKOUT FOR A CAUSE
Bayou City Crossfit
Get a great CrossFit-style workout for a great cause, geared for all fitness levels. The workouts are one-hour sessions, for ages 18+, at 9 and 10 a.m. May 13. A $20 suggested donation is requested and can be made online or at the door. The proceeds benefit the Playground for All Abilities. The 4th annual Girl Scout Troop 21 bake sale will be from noon-2 p.m. May 21, at 859 Azalea. Baked goodies can be dropped off May 20 and placed in the cooler on the porch. Bark Bites will also be selling dog goodies. Troop 122017 Brownies of Garden Oaks Montessori and St. Rose of Lima will also be providing goodies and have a lemonade stand.
