Every year, Casa Ramirez owners, Macario and Chrissie Ramirez, celebrate Dia de los Muertos – Day of the Dead, a time of festive events throughout Mexico, to honor and remember deceased family members and loved ones. There will be a free class on building a personal altar from 10-11 a.m. Oct. 20. A community altar by Judy Turner will be on display through Nov. 11. The community is welcome to bring a photocopy of a loved one for the altar. A procession and public reception will be from 5-8 p.m. Oct. 27, and includes Aztec dancers, music and refreshments.
