Authorities are still searching for the origins of a Heights shootout out which left one person wounded and resulted in five arrests.
According to a report from our media partners at KHOU, the Houston Police Department received multiple reports of shots fired near the intersection of 11th Street and Studewood Street in the Heights early Tuesday morning.
Per the report, three men were arrested following a short car chase away from the scene, while Harris County Precinct 1 deputies arrested two additional suspects later on.
The report from KHOU said one man was found shot and wounded inside a white truck at the scene upon further investigation, and he was later transported to the hospital, where he is now recovering.
