HOUSTON (August 7, 2018) — Field & Tides is expanding its footprint with the opening of The Lounge at Field & Tides. The 1940’s gas station laid dormant for more than a decade, but has now transformed into the Heights newest private dining, event space and lounge, patio bar.
The addition to the upscale casual restaurant, located in Houston’s historic Heights, offers guests a place to socialize, linger over cocktails, and grab a bite from the Gulf Coast and Southern inspired menu. The lounge expansion was a natural next step for the restaurant that has quickly became a local favorite among diners as well as 2017 Best New Restaurant of the Year.
Chef Travis Lenig and business partner Chico Ramirez carefully planned the new space to give guests a comfortable place to gather while waiting for a table or a casual spot for sipping and snacking. The Lounge at Field & Tides features indoor and outdoor seating, a full bar and private event packages. The Lounge will be open Tuesday through Sunday, but is available for private events seven days a week.
Principal Wyndy Ramirez of Wynne Design Works with contributing designer Gino Vian of Merchant to Market, designed the 700-sqaure foot space. The sleek space has an elemental design utilizing original brick walls and concrete floors mixed with industrial metal bar and 100-year-old oak pieces farmed and manufactured in Round Top, Texas. The “Sailor” anchor inspired mural by Gino Vian was created as an homage to the Tides aspect of the restaurant.
The Lounge at Field and Tides accommodates 26 to 28 guests for seated private events inside the lounge. Standing events holds up to 50 guests, and the outdoor area allows for up to 80 people for a non-seated event.
Event packages available for both private dining events inside the lounge or full event space rentals for larger gatherings. Please contact the restaurant at 713-861-6143 for more information.
