Core Strengths worship series at St. Stephen’s
The worship series “Core Strengths,” will continue through Sept. 30. Each Sunday, the sermon will focus on one of the core values in the church’s Vision Statement. The core value for the Sept. 9 sermon will be, “The church does not belong to us.”
A free two-part class on personal and family finances will be held from 5-6:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9 and 16.

All Saints TALC begins Fall Registration
All Saints Third Age Learning Center begins its 2018 Fall Semester Monday, Sept. 10. Late registration will be held the first week of the semester, Sept. 10-14, from 9 a.m.-noon. The Fall Semester concludes Nov. 16.
TALC offers a variety of classes and activities for seniors in the community. A hot lunch, prepared on-site, is available Monday-Friday during the semester for $2.
TALC will be hosting an AARP Driver Safety Course from 10 a.m.-2:45 p.m. Sept. 14. A lunch break takes place from noon–12:30 p.m. This one day course is for drivers 50 years or older and is presented by an AARP instructor. For ARRP members, the fee is $15 and for non-members, the fee is $20, payable to AARP the day of the course. The course is for insurance purposes only and not for traffic violations. TALC will host a Movie Day from 10 a.m.-noon, Sept. 28. The movie feature will be “The Greatest Showman.” The 2017 movie musical, inspired by the life of P.T. Barnum, stars Hugh Jackman. Lemonade and popcorn will be provided.

Lydia Circle meets at St. Matthew’s
The Lydia Circle will meet Sept. 8, 10 a.m., in Room 107. Guest Youth Speaker, Lily Sanders will give a report on the Youth Convocation in South Africa, followed by a program presented by Trish Tieken. A short business meeting will conclude the day’s event.
St. Matthew’s will soon begin a new Stewardship campaign with an emphasis on Financial Peace, written by well-known author, Dave Ramsey. The program begins the first week in October. Women’s Bible Study Group meets at the YMCA
The Women’s Bible Study meets at 6:30 p.m. every Monday at the Harriet and Joe Foster YMCA, 1234 W. 34th St. The study will begin Sept. 10.
The new Bible study will be the Parables of Jesus, six in depth studies connecting the Bible to life.
There will be Bible study, prayer, and fellowship. Guests and new members are welcome to attend this non-denominational Bible study.

Revival, Evangelistic Crusade at Woodland Trails Baptist
Woodland Trails Baptist, 9615 N. Houston-Rosslyn Road, is having a revival and Evangelistic Crusade at 7 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday, Sept. 30-Oct. 3. The Evangelist will be Dennis Parish and singer and music director is David Parish, his son. A nursery will be provided. Sermons will be translated into Spanish.
Everyone is welcome to Bible Study from 10-10:45 a.m. every Sunday, worship is from 11 a.m.-noon, and mid-week Bible Study is 6 p.m. Wednesdays.
