Recent Pet Of The Week, Patches the cat, has officially found her forever home. Patches, the nine year old Snowshoe Simaese mix, has left her foster home with Kimberly Antley and moved in with local Leader-reader Patty.
Antley says Patches is an incredible cuddle companion, with the softest fur and longest whiskers.
“She just loves to be close to her human and receive lots of petting,” said Antley.
Patches, who has been with foster mom Antley for almost a year, was a leading lady in her Pet Of The Week debut with The Leader, causing her new mom, Patty, to reach out to Animal Justice League to look into adopting her.
“Patches was always nervous meeting new people but when she came out of the carrier at Patty’s place, you would have thought she had lived there forever,” said Antley. “She didn’t try to hide and made herself right at home from the minute she got there. That’s when I knew Patty’s home was the right one for Patches.”
Although Antley is sad to see Patches go, she is very happy that she is leaving to be with such a perfect companion. A happy match for the books.
