Though I applaud the revitalization of The Leader area with innovative eateries and shops, I am SO VERY disappointed and unhappy that Einstein Brothers Bagels will not be in the mix. I have sent emails to the various Oak Forest/Garden Oaks developers, as reported in The Leader, asking them to reach out to Einstein Bagels, to no avail. Most of Einstein’s shops are in the SW/Kirby area. I think the Einstein traffic would give Shipley’s on Ella @34th a run for its money. What gives?
Lynn Ashby’s expressions precious
Lynn Ashby’s expressions (Aug. 5) are simply precious: “Sweating like an immigrant at a Trump rally.” Lynn’s column in The Leader every week, I see the paper land in my yard — and I grab it faster than a Democrat sprinting to pick up a welfare check.
Not everyone a fan of lizards
Read your article in The Leader Heights newspaper (July 29, Vol. 62 No. 31) entitled Home Invaders. First, let me say that not everyone is a big fan of those disgusting and scary looking lizards. Instead of sending out praises to them you should have told us how to keep them away from our homes. I know what you’re going to say … they are helpful to the environment, they eat bugs, etc. etc. but I’m afraid of them and try to kill them when I see them. Please tell us what we can do or what chemicals we can use to kill them. And by the way, I love bugs and roaches, but not those disgusting scary lizards. Please help!
