Theatre Suburbia presents the regional premiere of Donald Margulies’ The Country House, a piercing look at a family of performers coming to terms with the roles they play in each other’s lives.
A brood of famous and longing-to-be famous creative artists have gathered at their summer home during the Williamstown Theatre Festival. When the weekend takes an unexpected turn, everyone is forced to improvise, inciting a series of simmering jealousies, romantic outburst, and passionate soul-searching. The Country House is both witty and compelling.
The cast of characters include Brit Garcia as Susie Keegan, Carol Davis as Anna Patterson, Haig Caesar as Michael Astor, Dean R Dicks as Elliot Cooper, Nicole Lanier as Nell McNally and Adrian Collinson as Walter Keegan. Their performances are supported by Pamela Branstetter as stage manager. The show was directed by Tyler Eckert and Assistant Director Judith Mallernee.
