Two people were found dead inside a northwest Houston apartment last Friday in an apparent murder-suicide, with a baby left behind at the scene.
Around 8:40 a.m., police say a neighbor called 9-1-1 reporting possible gunshots at an apartment complex in the 7200 block of T.C. Jester Boulevard; and between then and when officers arrived on scene, there was at least one additional gunshot.
Houston police say the officer who arrived on scene first made his way inside, finding a dead woman outside on the patio of the apartment.
Following an initial backup, authorities say they later found a man dead inside the apartment with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
HPD later found a baby believed to be around six months old inside the apartment, and believe the deceased man and woman found at the scene to been the child’s parents, though their identities had not been officially released prior to press time.
According to HPD, the department has previously responded to the residence multiple times for alleged domestic violence incidents. Authorities say the boy was medically cleared by Houston fire fighters and released to his relatives.
