During the first phase of Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s plan to reopen the state during the COVID-19 pandemic, restaurants are allowed to open their dining rooms at 25 percent occupancy this weekend. While some restaurants have decided to hold off, some have reopened today and plan to do so next week.
Max’s Wine Dive, 4720 Washington Ave., opens today with an abbreviated menu, limited hours and capacity. During the past few weeks, Max’s said it has provided front-line workers with free meal kits and will continue those efforts for the foreseeable future. Max’s will be open 3-9 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Friday-Sunday.
Field & Tides, 705 E. 11th St., opened today. Lunch will be served from noon-4 p.m., and there will be two dinner services at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Because of the limited seating, reservations are recommended.
Opening just its patio is Pinkerton’s BBQ, 1504 Airline Dr., for outdoor dining. Walk-up orders will be taken at a station outside and food will be brought out to the patio. The bar will be open, but customers have to consume beverages on the patio or get them to-go.
Urban Eats, 3414 Washington Ave., will continue curbside and to-go services while reopening its dining room today. Orders will be taken at the first-floor register and served in to-go packaging. Dine-in customers can eat at Urban’s first-floor tables or patios while maintaining social distancing guidelines. Reservations will be required for upstairs dining during the times of 5-9 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday.
Flying Fish, 1815 N. Durham Dr., is open today with limited capacity for dine-in and is continuing curbside pick-up.
King’s BierHaus, 2044 E. T.C. Jester Blvd., will open today. Its maximum capacity during this first phase is 100 guests. Only six people, including children, can occupy a table at one time. The restaurant will not be accepting cash payments during its limited hours of 4-9 p.m. Monday-Friday and Sunday as well as noon-9 p.m. Saturday.
Coltivare, 3320 White Oak Dr., is waiting out the weekend and reopening May 6 for dine-in guests for reservation only. Take-out services will continue until the foreseeable future.
