Police are searching for a man suspected of committing numerous heists and violent crimes around the area during the last few months.
Deputy Joseph Bowden with the Harris County Precinct 1 Constable’s Office said the suspect is believed to be involved in at least a dozen burglaries and aggravated robberies around the Heights, Woodland Heights and Garden Oaks neighborhoods dating back to December.
“Over the last few months, the burglaries have picked up, and the MO for them was all the same,” Bowden said. “He really doesn’t appear to have a pattern to what he’s doing – just a bunch of random places and times.”
Bowden said the suspect is a black male believed to be about 6-foot tall. He has previously been seen near Crosstimbers Road, Airline Drive and Loop 610, according to a Facebook post by the constable’s office. If residents have seen the man or have more information on his crimes or whereabouts, they are urged to contact Bowden at Joseph.Bowden@cn1.hctx.net.
If residents encounter the suspect, who has been known to be armed with a handgun, Bowden advised them to steer clear of confronting him and call the constable’s office at 713-755-7628.
