Single Man Kitchen olive oil
One of the products that Verdegreens carries is Jeremy Goodwin’s brand of the Texas koroneiki variety of extra virgin olive oil, grown in West Texas and bottled in Kyle.
“This is a specialty Greek variety that is rare in Texas and I have bottled the entire supply under my trademark Single Man’s Kitchen,” said Goodwin, an Inwood Forest resident.
Goodwin added that with the awarding of the registered trademark for Single Man’s Kitchen in May, he is in the process of launching a website and becoming an Amazon vendor.
“For local consumption only, SMK has bottled and labeled the entire supply of Texas-grown, koroneiki variety olive oil, extra virgin olive oil,” he said. “It is currently available only from Single Man’s Kitchen directly, as an addition to Verdegreens farm boxes, or at the Wakefield farmer market on Saturday mornings.”
Goodwin said it is anticipated that the Houston Co-op will also make it available for members in the near future.
SMK also has a line of salt- and sugar-free spice mixes on the website, www.singlemankitchen.com.
The upcoming Amazon launch will feature chef-designed kitchen aprons made in Houston by Spirit Valley Manufacturing, plus heavy duty tote bags.
The aprons come in three different fabric weights with the pitmaster special being a 15-ounce waxed cotton, complete with top and front pockets, adjustable neck strap, towel loop and webbing waist strap with a side-fastening quick link.
The pockets on both apron and tote bags can be with or without the SMK logo, or for special orders you can add your own embroidery.
