Red Dog Dumpsters has modernized the world of dumpsters by making it easier to have one delivered to your driveway.
During this time of social distancing to help slow the spread of COVID-19, some people are searching for a new home project every other day. Cleaning out the garage or doing a small remodel just might be the answer, and a Red Dog dumpster can make it stress-free.
“For everyone out there who’s just climbing the walls, there is no better project,” Gardner said. “if you’re looking for a project to do around your house, I think cleaning out the half of your garage you haven’t seen in years is a place to start.”
After realizing the need for small driveway dumpsters while building his own house, Scott Gardner established the company in 2016 with just one truck and 20 dumpsters. Red Dog originated in Nashville but expanded into Houston almost two years ago.
“We make it easy for people to clean out their house,” Gardner said, “and for job sites to clean up their sites.”
Gardner described Red Dog as an on-demand dumpster company, kind of like an Uber for dumpsters.
Red Dog uses smaller trucks than other companies to drop off and pick up the dumpsters, which are about the size of a car and will fit perfectly into a parking space.
What Red Dog has modernized most about the dumpster industry is the utilization of technology.
“You go online, you pick your size container, you tell us when you want it, you pay for it online and that’s it.” Gardner said.
The company offers two sizes of dumpsters, a 10-yard bin, and a 15-yard bun, with the difference in size being that the bigger one has taller sidewalls. There are no hidden fees at Red Dog, each container price is found online.
Gardner also said that costumers will find Red Dog reliable. The dumpsters will arrive when they are supposed to and will be picked up within hours after it’s done being used.
While online ordering makes the process of getting a dumpster run smoothly, Red Dog also allows communication through calling and texting to make it easier for someone to let them know a dumpster is ready for pickup.
“Anyone can order from us. It’s not like you have to be a contractor,” Gardner said. “More than half of our business is from homeowners cleaning out their house or working on their house.”
And the reason for that is because everyone has junk.
