Recycling pickup will soon return to its regular schedule, according to Houston’s Solid Waste Management Department.
The city announced Thursday night that every-other-week collection will resume Monday, with recycling and garbage both slated to be picked up on routine service days. Many area residents, including those in Garden Oaks, Oak Forest and the Heights, did not have their recyclables collected for most for January.
“The department appreciates the patience and goodwill of customers as it has had to make schedule modifications to deal with personnel and equipment challenges,” the city said in its news release.
According to a previous announcement by the city, residents who normally have their recycling collected on Thursday and Friday of “A” weeks will have it picked up Saturday.
