The office of Harris County Precinct 1 Constable Alan Rosen invites area residents to take advantage of its eviction assistance program, which aims to provide resources for those facing eviction during the COVID-19 pandemic.
At 9 a.m. Wednesday, leaders from Precinct 1, South Texas College of Law Houston and the Eviction Defense Coalition will gather at Hartz Krispy Chicken at 1215 Pinemont Dr. to announce the details of the program and help community members in need of assistance. According to a news release from the constable’s office, those living in the nearby 77088 zip code – which includes Acres Homes and Greater Inwood – have seen the highest rate of coronavirus positivity across the Greater Houston area.
“We encourage members of the public who have questions about evictions to come and visit with legal experts at this location,” the department said.
Wednesday morning’s event is open to the public.
For more information on assistance, community members can contact Precinct 1 Chief of Staff Erica Davis at 832-286-3876.
