Houston police are looking into a hit-and-run crash that left a man dead week.
The victim, a man whose identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Houston Police Department.
In a news release from the department, HPD said officers responded to a call in the 5100 block of the North Freeway about 7:50 p.m. Oct. 2 after a woman exiting the freeway caught sight of the victim lying in the dark on the ramp and called police. Police said the man’s injuries were consistent with being struck by a vehicle.
