Houston police are looking into a Sunday night vehicle-motorcycle collision near Independence Heights that left the motorcyclist dead.
The Houston Police Department said the victim, a 53-year-old male, was traveling northbound in the 4600 block of Yale Street just before 9 p.m. Sunday when the driver of a black Ford F-150 pickup going westbound on Norview Drive ran a stop sign and struck the motorcyclist, who was pronounced dead Monday at Memorial Hermann Hospital.
The victim’s identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD said an investigation into the crash is ongoing. No charges have filed in relation to the incident.
