More than a year ago, The Leader reported that JINYA Ramen Bar would open a location in the Heights Waterworks development.
Now JINYA has opened, making it the seventh Houston-area location for the franchise.
JINYA, 449 W. 19th St., is neighbors with Hopdoddy Burger Bar and Verdine.
The ramen bar offers 13 signature bowls, five of which feature broths that have simmered for 10 hours. The noodles are aged for three days, and the bowls are customizable with 20 different toppings.
Juice bar to open at Heights Mercantile
Pressed Juicery, a California-based juice bar, has announced a Houston expansion.
According to its website, one Houston location will open at the Heights Mercantile development, 714 Yale St. Ste. 1Z, in early 2020.
Pressed Juicery offers a variety of cold-pressed fruit and vegetable juices, plant-based, dairy-free soft serve ice cream and snacks like gummy bears and coconut balls.
Along with retail stores, the juice bar has local delivery and shipping available.
Cane Rosso teams up with local breweries
The chef at Cane Rosso, 1835 N. Shepherd Dr., is creating a four-course dinner with beer pairings from local breweries.
Each dinner will start out with an appetizer, followed by a salad, then the main course of pasta and pizza, then dessert to top it off. Every course will be created specifically with a beer pairing.
Karbach Brewing Co. will be featured at the Oct. 8 dinner, and Eureka Heights Brew Co. will have beer featured Nov. 12. Tickets are $50, and can be found on Eventbrite.com.
