Eureka Heights Brew Co., the popular craft beer maker at 941 W. 18th St. in the Heights, announced on social media Thursday that it is closing its taproom until further notice in an attempt to keep employees and customers from contracting COVID-19.
In a message posted on Facebook and Instagram, Eureka Heights said it will continue to fulfill to-go orders with “near contactless drive-thru service.” Starting Friday, its drive-through hours are 3-7 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon-7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
“We have been very fortunate that no one on our team has tested positive for COVID-19 and we want to try our best to keep it that way,” read the social media posts. “… Even with our heightened measures and procedures, we feel this is the best option for the health and safety of the entire Eureka Heights team and community.”
Eureka Heights said it will continue producing its beer, which is available at restaurants, bars, grocery stores and liquor stores throughout Houston, while its taproom is closed.
