Dish Society, 1050 Yale St., has created a way for patrons to shop for groceries online.
The restaurant has launched a virtual farmers market full of local produce, meats, eggs and breads. Orders can be made and paid for online at dishsociety.com. You can have it delivered for $7 or schedule your order for curbside pickup.
You can also purchase a meal for a doctor, nurse or first responder through Dish Society’s online portal (dishsociety.olo.com) for $15. Dish Society will compile orders and deliver to various hospitals and first responder units across Houston and surrounding areas.
Postino gives back
Postino Wine Café, 642 Yale St., is giving back with every bruschetta board that is ordered.
With every bruschetta board that is prepared to-go, Postino will donate a meal to the national nonprofit, No Kid Hungry.
Karbach releases three new beers
Karbach Brewing Co., 2032 Karbach St., has released three new brews.
The first is Sangria Radler, a blend of golden beer and a variety of fruit flavors, and a new addition to Karbach’s line of Radlers, including Blood Orange, Lemon Ginger and Cherry Limeade. The next is Lil’ Chela, a light cerveza. It’s only 96 calories for those who are health-focused. Karbach’s other new beer is Viva Chela, a Mexican-style lager with notes of lime and salt.
