The new concept by SoClutch Group, The Sporting Club, opened Thursday at 5102 Washington Ave.
The garage-style doors and retractable roof, which can open and close in 30 seconds, will give the space an open-air feel. Plus, the restaurant features a patio of custom benches and an additional bar.
“We are excited to bring the all-new concept of The Sporting Club to the Washington Corridor,” Dan Wierck, owner of SoClutch Group, said in a news release. “The high-energy restaurant is sure to be a food and drink destination in the area, providing a unique dining experience for each guest.”
The Sporting Club’s menu will center on seafood, light coastal Italian bites and spins on classic bar favorites. The pizzas are created using local produce and specialty items. The brunch menu includes options like the New England Benedict with lobster, Crab & Avocado Toast and Chilaquiles.
The cocktail program was created in collaboration with the Houston-based Ladies of Libation. Frozen and house cocktails, bright botanicals, beer, wine and more are featured on the menu.
The restaurant will operate daily from 11 a.m.-2 a.m. with weekend brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. featuring a chef-driven menu by executive chef EJ Miller. The full menu will be available through 11 p.m. and late-night pizzas until 2 a.m.
