The new Mastrantos in the Heights is opening its global kitchen to Savoir, a restaurant that is set to open in the Heights in March. In a collaborative effort, the two restaurants are working together to produce a seven-course dinner at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Feb. 5 at Mastrantos, 927 Studewood St. Ste. 100.
The menu features selections from both restaurants as well as collaborative dishes. From Mastrantos is carrots over carrots (carrots with carrot hummus), wild forest “cacio” (pasta) and passion fruit mousse. Savoir is bringing its chicken bundles (chicken wrapped in mustard greens) and balsamic cured duck. Dishes of collaboration are the tuna tartare arepa and boeuf bourguignon (beef stew).
Only 30 spots are available for both time slots, which are $85 per person plus $50 for a wine pairing. To make a reservation, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
