About a week before the start of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, residents will have the chance to lasso some fun times in the Heights.
On Saturday, the 19th Street Merchants Association will kick off the rodeo season in its own style with the Rodeo Roundup Pre-Party. Country music, western outfits, cocktails and fun are on the horizon from 5-9 p.m. on 19th Street.
Those walking the Heights’ main street will be treated to local shopping such as The Lift, Bliss on 19th Street, AG Antiques and more, along with food and drink offerings from Harold’s Restaurant & Tap Room and We Olive and Wine Bar. Meanwhile, live music from Mitch Jacobs will permeate the night air.
The Rodeo Roundup is free to attend and open to the public. Attendees will receive 10 percent off their purchases with a committeeman’s badge at participating shops, and horse T-shirts will be 50 percent off at Jumper Maybach.
