The Houston ISD Board of Education has scheduled a series of meetings during the next month to obtain feedback from the community members it serves.
HISD said in a news release that the focus of the meetings is to “better understand the educational expectations of parents, students, community members and stakeholders.” They are all invited to attend and provide ideas and feedback regarding student outcomes.
A total of 11 meetings are scheduled between Oct. 19 and Nov. 19, two of which will be in the area. The first meeting is 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19 at the Hattie Mae Educational Support Center at 4400 W. 18th St. The other local gathering is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24 at Waltrip High School, 1900 W. 34th St.
