Houston police are searching for three suspects they say were involved in a shooting last Saturday morning near Independence Heights that put a 15-year-old boy in the hospital.
The Houston Police Department said the victim drove to one location to pick up a juvenile female and then to the 300 block of Walthall Drive to pick up another juvenile male at about 5:45 a.m. Saturday, June 27.
A news release from HPD said the male being picked up attempted to rob the victim before shooting him multiple times, in the arm and leg. According to police, two additional suspects also fired shots toward the victim’s car before the victim and female fled the scene in the car. HPD said the girl was not injured in the incident and the 15-year-old boy who was shot is expected to survive.
The suspects have been described only as three juvenile Hispanic males.
Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact HPD’s Major Assaults & Family Violence Division at 713-308-8800 or Houston Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477.
