Dawn Diamond, a longtime volunteer with the Boys Scouts of America’s Skyline District, recently received the 2018 District Award of Merit at a volunteer recognition dinner held at St. Stephen’s United Methodist Church.
The award is the highest honor the Sam Houston Area Council Scout District can present to an adult for volunteerings as a Cub Scout or Boy Scout leader.
Diamond, a 2016 Wood Badge recipient, has volunteered with Pack 30 at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church as committee chair, den leader and Webelos leader. She also has served the Skyline District as program director for Summer Twilight Camp and as a mentor and counselor for the Boys Scouts’ STEM/Nova Program.
Special guests at the reception were the Eagle Scouts class of 2018.
