A man suspected of burglarizing Good Dog Houston in the Heights last weekend was arrested shortly thereafter.
Houston Police Department spokesperson Jodi Silva said 28-year-old Andrew Tucker was arrested and charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, evading arrest and burglary in connection with the incident.
Silva said HPD responded to a call late Sunday night at Good Dog, a hot dog restaurant at 903 Studewood St. As officers arrived on scene, Silva said Tucker attempted to flee in what police later found out was a stolen vehicle.
Tucker was apprehended a short time after attempting to exit the car and flee on foot, according to Silva.
Silva said Tucker was in possession of miscellaneous items from both the brick and mortar restaurant and Good Dog’s food truck, including cash, tools and a cutting board, when he was caught by authorities. Silva said all the items have been returned to the business.
