Healing Service held at Advent Lutheran
Advent Lutheran Church will have a healing service at 5 p.m. June 10, in the sanctuary. This is a healing service designed to pray for each individual who wants prayers for themselves in the healing of the soul, hurts, memories, anger, and physical ailments. In addition to songs that are designed for a deep meditative connection, there will be teaching briefly about the spiritual gifts that some have for such ministry.

Friends and Family Day at Shady Acres Church of Christ
Shady Acres Church of Christ, 730 W. 26th St., will hold Friends and Family day for the worship service at 10 a.m. June 10. There will be acapella presentations, a book signing and live question and answer session with author and guest minister Brandon Holt of Baytown Connect Church of Christ.

The Gathering Place ministry at St. Stephen’s
The Gathering Place, a ministry for persons with Alzheimer’s and other types of memory loss, will be held Monday, June 11, from 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall. Volunteers lead guests in fun activities and serve lunch so that caregivers can take a break. There is no charge to attend.
A new yoga class, open to all, meets on the first and third Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in Room 101. The cost is $5 per class.

Men’s Scripture Sharing annual prayer breakfast at the YMCA
The Men’s Scripture Sharing Group will meet for their annual prayer breakfast from 7:30-9 a.m., Thursday June 14, at the Harriet and Joe Foster YMCA, 1234 W. 34th St.
