Fall Festival and Great Pumpkin Patch at St. Matthew’s
Get ready for the Great Pumpkin Patch and Fall Festival Oct. 13. A barbecue meal, a two-meat plate with trimmings will be available for $12. Activities for all ages include a silent auction, face painting, games, and pumpkin decorating. There will be alot of great items to bid on in the auction.

From Galilee to GOOF at St. Stephen’s
A new worship series, “From Galilee to GOOF,” will begin Sunday, Oct. 14, during the 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. services. Pastor Nathan Lonsdale Bledsoe will be drawing on geography lessons he learned in the Holy Land, as well as digging into things that can be learned about the Garden Oaks-Oak Forest neighborhood.
During the series, a Bible study and sermon discussion group will meet Sundays from 6-8 p.m. at Great Heights Brewing Company, 938 Wakefield Dr. All are welcome.

Men in Mission barbecue dinner at Zion Lutheran
Zion Lutheran Church’s Men in Mission will be hosting their annual barbecue dinner from noon-1:30 p.m. Oct. 14, in Zion’s Great Room. All free will offerings for the meal will go toward the Men in Mission’s Seminary Student scholarships. The community is welcome.

Bazaar at St. Monica
St. Monica Catholic Church, 8421 W. Montgomery Rd. 77088, will hold their Bazaar Oct. 19-21. Super Duper Bingo will be 7-11 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19. Bingo tickets are $20 presale and $25 at door. The Bazaar is open Saturday, Oct. 20, from noon-8 p.m. and 12:30-8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21.
Zydeco performances by Keyun and The Zydeco Masters, Nooney and the Zydeco Floaters, and Marcus Ardoin and Da Zydeco Legendz. There will be live Hispanic entertainment, food, kids activities, games, and fun for the whole family. Vendor booths available. Free bazaar admission and parking.

Trinity Downtown presents the Hymn Festival featuring James Marriott, Director of Musical Arts at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis who will play on Trinity’s recently renovated 50 rank Holtkamp/Reuter pipe organ.
