The Greater Heights Area Chamber of Commerce announced Thursday that Teresa Nicolas-Briggs of Houston Highway Credit Union has been installed as its new board chairperson.
Nicolas-Briggs succeeds Third Coast Impressions’ Dee Farino, who served a two-year term as chairperson. Nicolas-Briggs, a chamber member since 2014, was Farino’s vice chairperson as well as a member of the executive committee.
The chamber, which serves more than 500 member businesses through informative breakfasts and luncheons, scholarship programs and networking events, remains without a president. Jacob Millwee resigned from that role in August, leaving to become a high school teacher in Fort Bend ISD after 11 years with the chamber and five as president.
