Doug Cherry, 67, born Sept. 21, 1952 in Ft. Worth, died Sept. 17. He was married to the love of his life, Mary Brennan, for 20 years. He retired from ExxonMobil after 35 years of service to enjoy time with his family and friends. He was a member of Country Ham Band, the Sunshiners Band, and played on the worship team at his church, St. Stephens UMC. Cherry is survived by his wife, Mary, his mother Kitty Simpson, his daughter, Debbie Lynne Reynolds, son Darren Douglas Cherry, and two granddaughters.
John Hollaway, 64, born Feb. 15, 1956, died Sept. 18. He is survived by his sisters Susan Hinton and Janice Hollaway.
Mary Virginia Light, 78, born Oct. 13, 1941 in San Antonio, died Sept. 15. She is survived by her daughters Pauleen Currey and Mary C. Light, sister Betty Mae Ellis, brothers George Ray Mabry and Charles Eugene Mabry, three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Frances Morales Sandoval, 90, born April 2, 1930, died Sept. 16. She was employed by Star Furniture and Deluxe Check Printers before she retired. She was a member of St. Theresa Church for more than 50 years. She was a volunteer at the Little Flower Thrift Store. Later, her interests kept her active with a variety of groups at All Saints Third Learning. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving daughter Sandra Sandoval.
Dorothy Jane Street, 95, born Aug. 23, 1925 in Port Arthur, Texas, died Sept. 16. She is survived by her soon to be 100 year old brother, Oscar Michalk, and her loving daughters Susan Synnott and Beverly George. Street has five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
