Leticia Granado, 62, born Oct. 17, 1957 in Corpus Christi, died July 28. She is survived by her husband Howard Good, mother Anita Granado, children Cynthia Clemons, Rufus Hernandez III, Carlos Hernandez, and Lauren Ho, siblings Anna Cerros, Sandra Granado, Stella Granado, Jessie Granado, Gabriel Granado, and eight grandchildren.

Pauline “Bitsy” Vilven, 92, born May 1, 1928, died Aug. 3. For many years J.C. and Bitsy owned and operated Vilven Motor Rebuilding Inc. on North Main Street, were avid golfers at Pine Forest Country Club, and were devoted members at St. Stephen’s United Methodist Church. She is survived by daughters Sherry Vilven Haas and Janeen Vilven-Doggett, Sons-in-law Larry Haas, John Doggett, and Jerry Bates, four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Barbara Ann Walker, 72, born Dec. 18, 1947, died Aug. 1. She was a graduate of St Pius High school. She soon thereafter met the love of her life Michael C. Walker, they married in January 1968. Walker was an active member of St. Ambrose Catholic church. She is survived by her siblings Dan Kubiak and Patricia Croes, her son Michael, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Loring “Red” Parnell White, 77, born July 8, 1943 in Norfolk, Va., died Aug. 3. White’s 14-month tour in Vietnam in 1967-68 included service during the Tet offensive at the Da Nang air base, after which he received a meritorious combat promotion to Sargent. Upon his return to the States, he enrolled at Kent State University where he zipped through his undergraduate program straight to his doctorate in mathematics and economics. White retired from ExxonMobil in 2008. He is survived by his wife Susan, and brother Jeffrey.
