Police are investigating a shooting incident near Shepherd Forest that left a man dead last week.
According to a news release from the Houston Police Department, patrol officers responded to a shooting call at 3130 Mangum Rd. just before noon June 6 to find a man, later identified as 47-year-old Ysael Falcon, with a gunshot wound lying unresponsive inside an apartment.
Officers detained a male suspect at the apartment who identified himself as the shooter. Police say an initial investigation indicated both men got into an altercation, which ended when the suspect said he feared for his life and shot the victim.
