William E. Bielenda, 89, born June 22, 1930 in Jersey City, NJ, died Jan. 2. From 1947 to 1949, Bielenda served as a Merchant Marine with the ESSO Shipping Company. He then joined the United States Marine Corps where he served during the Korean Conflict. After his release from active duty as a Sargent, Bielenda rejoined the Standard Oil Company (now ExxonMobil) serving for 35 years in various leadership roles. He was a member of St. Matthew’s the Evangelist Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rose; sons Bob and Bill Bielenda, daughter Valerie Sargent, and five grandchildren.

Molly McLaurin, 84, born June 14, 1935 in
San Antonio, died Dec. 26. McLaurin is survived by her two daughters, Martha McLaurin and Mary Nunnelly, and three grandchildren. She was a passionate advocate of education and had a long career in teaching and school administration, most recently, and for many years, at Klein ISD. John Edward Pali, 86, born June 25, 1933, died Jan. 2. He is survived by his children Jennifer Rochelle Pali, Jason Edward Pali and Jennifer Rae Horak; siblings Julius and Sharon Pali, Ernest and Isabel Pali, Marie Pali Theiss, Bill and Brenda Pali, Pearl Pali Kebric and husband Bruce, Rosalie Pali Fisher and husband Richard, Robert and Lee Ann Pali.
Gio Pereira, 37, born June 18, 1982 in Colombia, died Jan. 5. He is survived by his wife, Anna Giannakopoulos, children Nicolas Pereira, Samuel Pereira and Lucca Pereira; parents Rosabla Santos Pereira and Alvarao Pereira; siblings Carlos Andres Pereira, Adriana Pereira, Carolina Pereira, Marcela Pereira, Alvaro Enrique Pereira, Valentina Pereira and Juan Sebastian Pereira.
