The restrictions put in place by local government officials to slow the spread of COVID-19 has been difficult for the Houston-area restaurant industry. Those businesses are temporarily restricted to carryout, drive-through and delivery services.
While some restaurants were able to switch out of a dine-in model relatively quickly, others chose to temporarily close. But some restaurants just needed a few days to regroup—like Pinkerton’s BBQ, 1504 Airline Dr.
Last Tuesday, March 17, Pinkerton’s BBQ announced on Instagram that it would be taking time off to reorganize before opening with carryout and curbside pickup.
The restaurant reopened Wednesday with a full to-go and curbside menu that focuses on comfort foods for the family as well as whole meat items.
