Houston authorities are looking into an area crash that left one pedestrian dead last week.
The male victim, whose identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, was crossing the street at 4900 N. Shepherd Dr. around 9 p.m. Nov. 2 when he was struck by a gold Buick LeSabre traveling northbound, according to the Houston Police Department.
Paramedics transported the victim to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition. He was pronounced dead on Tuesday, according to HPD.
Police say they questioned the driver at the scene, and he was determined to not be impaired. No charges have been filed, and the investigation remains ongoing.
