Authorities are searching for the shooter in the aftermath of an incident that left a man in critical condition Monday night.
The Houston Police Department said a 26-year-old male initially stumbled into a laundry store at 4211 N. Main St. in the Woodland Heights area shortly before 8 p.m. Monday, asking for medical attention after a shooting that occurred in the 400 block of Moss Street.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition with a single gunshot wound to the abdomen, according to police.
Witnesses told investigators the shooting may have involved two vehicles, with a black SUV pursuing a small red truck before firing shots toward the truck. HPD said it is unclear whether the victim was inside the truck at the time of the shooting.
