Houston will flood again. I can’t agree that Turner and Emmett were so heroic and brilliant. I have a constant reminder of Harvey, because the neighbor’s giant tree fell, mostly into my yard and onto my house. The neighbor never removed the giant trunk and limb in my yard, nor has my landlord been too concerned. I would love to see a new law that anyone with a large tree in proximity to buildings must have it inspected annually, have it certified, and pay a fee. The tree that fell was all rotted inside, and should have been taken down. Anyhow, if anyone would like about five tons of red oak, come on by and cut and haul this out of the driveway.
Good thoughts, Jonathan. Just remember that some of us are still living in homes that are still devastated by Harvey. There are many like me still dealing with Harvey.
For whatever reasons: complying with mortgage company requirements, dealing with flood insurance claims, permit issues from the city, or the shortage of qualified contractors, many of us have not got our homes back together.
Just remember that.
Hickory Hollow sold to Braun Enterprises
Can’t wait for the new place to open because I don’t have enough options for overpriced craft beer and cheap bar food with truffle oil drizzled on it and sold for high prices.
