Major League Baseball may be winding down its first half of the season, but that also means the fall season is right around the corner for our neighborhood leagues. And since nobody wants to be left out of the fun, below is some information on how and when to register your athlete for the fall season so they don’t miss out.
Timbergrove Sports Association
TSA Director of Calendaring Brent Schwartz said the league’s registration opens July 23 right at noon, and closes Thursday, Aug. 2 at noon for baseball, softball, and soccer, which runs from early September to mid-November.
Schwartz says most divisions fill up very quickly for any season – some in a matter of hours/minutes – so he suggests parents register their kids early to secure a spot, especially in the younger divisions. Once spots fill up, TSA will form a wait list and those placed on the wait list will receive spots only if they become available, based solely on the date and time of the registration event. Players played on the wait list will receive an update on status by Friday, August 3rd. There’s no guarantee spots will be available through the end of registration.
“This past Spring season, we sold out our three youngest divisions baseball divisions; in the older age groups we tend to have spots open for a little bit longer. But we do tend to run through our spots quickly,” Schwartz said.
Cost for the fall registration is $105 for baseball and softball and $125 for soccer. There are no multi-player or multi-sports discounts available in the fall registration. Anyone with questions about registration can visit TSA’s website at timbergrovesports.com/ or email Schwartz at TimbergroveSportsAssoc@gmail.com.
Oaks Dads Club
In Fall 2018, Oaks Dads Club will be offering the competitive season for soccer and non-competitive/instructional leagues for both baseball and softball. Registration for these seasons began July 1 and will likely run until August 19, though ODC President Danielle Soria-Orozco noted that date can be fluid based on participation and available spots.
ODC’s fall season will begin on September 22nd.
“There’s no real deadline, it’s really just until the teams fill up, as they fill up. If a team is not full, then we’ll keep it open until is,” she said.
Registration is now open online at odcsports.com, and additional in-person dates will be listed on the website.
* Early Registration (July 1 – Aug. 1) – $90 for soccer, $80 for baseball softball
* Regular Registration (8/2-8/19 for soccer, 8/2-9/1 for baseball/softball) – $110 for soccer, $95 for baseball/softball
* Late Registration (8/19-9/7 for soccer, 9/2 until season begins for baseball) – $135 for soccer, $120 for baseball/softball
The Heights-Norhill Little League (HNLL) will open their Fall Ball Registration by July 15.
Registration will be handled through the league’s online site at heightsnorhill.com/, and will run through Aug, 31. Registration during this period is $50 per player, while any registration later than Aug. 31 will be based on availability (first come, first serve), and may be subject to a late fee.
Returning members will be notified through email when registration is open, while new members will need to create an online profile and register to the assigned division. On-site registration will be available at a future date, to be announced soon.
In order to register parents must determine the appropriate Division for their player by reviewing the Age Charts on HNLL’s website, and clicking on the “Register Now” button for the appropriate Division.
“We welcome new families to our Heights-Norhill community,” HNLL Director Jesus Gonzalez said.
More information will be posted on the league’s website and anyone with questions can contact Heights-Norhill Little league through email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
