As part of a celebration of the diversity of Christmas celebrations in the area, there will be a bilingual posada from 1:30-4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 22 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, located at 3600 Brinkman St.
The event will begin with a procession and finish with festivities in both the East and West Halls of the church. During a posada, parishioners dressed as Mary and Joseph go looking for a place to deliver Jesus. Those in attendance will witness numerous songs and prayers as well as an after-party.
Children in the community are welcome and encouraged to dress as shepherds, angels and barn animals for the service.
