Postino Wine Cafe to open soon in the Heights
The all-day wine bar, Postino Wine Café, announced this week that their doors will open April 11. Placed in the newly popular Height Mercantile, people will now enjoy judgement free day drinking at Postino’s first Texas outlet. They open at 11 a.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. on weekends with just $5 glasses of wine until 5 p.m.
Tea + Victory set to open
On April 10 Tea + Victory at 2030 E. T.C. Jester Blvd. will open, according to Chron.com. The board game café is a place where customers can enjoy various games like, Monopoly, Risk, Battleship, and the newest most challenging games on the market. You can play a board game while eating from the British-inspired menu, and of course, sip some tea.
Mac’ ‘n’ cheese festival
At Silver Street Station this Saturday there will be a big cheesy festival. According to HoustonPress, top local restaurants will serve samples of mac’ and cheese while festival goers enjoy libations, live music, local vendors, and other activities.
Gumbo cook-off festival
All you can eat gumbo and thirteen craft breweries at this Saturday’s TX gumbo cook-off festival, as reported by HoustonPress. The line up of brews include Platypus Brewing, Eureka Heights, Holler Brewing, 8th Wonder, and more. Admission is $20 and comes with gumbo tastings and five drink tickets.
