Diners can also grab the “La Table” snack during happy hour. It’s a 100-percent plant-based cheese board with cashew mozzarella, herbed chevre, sharp cheddar and marinated tofu feta.
The new hours are 11 a.m.–9 p.m. Tuesday–Thursday, 11 a.m.–10 p.m. Friday–Saturday and 11 a.m.–3 p.m. Sunday.
Big Star Bar to remain open
A few weeks ago, it was reported that the owner of the property where Big Star Bar resides was going to sell. The bar’s lease was going to end at the end of May, and the plan was to lease month-by-month until the sale of the property was completed.
Two days before Big Star Bar threw its 10th anniversary party on May 25-26, it was announced on its Facebook page that the bar was able to extend its lease.
CultureMap reported that bar owner Brad Moore was in Houston to finalize details when the property owner told him she no longer wanted to sell and the bar could stay if Moore wanted it to. Moore said yes.
So, Big Star Bar will remain at 1005 W. 19th St.
