A woman found unconscious at Stude Park on Thursday was taken to a hospital with minor injuries, according to the Houston Police Department.
HPD spokesperson John Cannon said officers were called to 1035 Stude St. at about 4:15 p.m. Thursday regarding a woman who was passed out at a baseball field at the Heights park. Cannon said the woman was dazed and possibly intoxicated, telling police she had been suffering from multiple health problems, was homeless and had not eaten for several days.
According to Cannon, the woman also said she was unsure of what happened and only remembered waking up on the field. Cannon said she denied that she had been assaulted and told police that scratches on her body were from her cat.
Cannon said the woman was taken to a hospital for treatment for her abrasions.
